The Maker Magic

Hi! I’m Jordan and I’ve been a woodworker/sign maker since 2018 living in Houston, Texas. I've always had a passion for design and growing up I thought my future would be somehow involved in clothing design. In February of 2021 I launched a small range of tarot-inspired maker tees through my woodworking page - Lucy and Lumber. The tees were such a hit that I wanted to create more items specifically targeted to "makers". I also wanted to create a space where the mystical and celestial vibe of this range could evolve and feature other small businesses with the same unique aesthetic and thoughtfully priced.

I’ve been making signs since fall 2018.  Started with a scrollsaw and a sander, I eventually evolved to a laser and CNC. Every single piece still comes into contact with the scrollsaw at some point in its creation. 

I have a background in graphic design and am dedicated to bringing your ideas to life. If you do not see a templated design on here, reach out! We can work together to design the perfect sign for your space. 

Why the name Lucy & Lumber? Meet my 6 year old Sheepdog, Lucy. Lucy and I have been best pals from the start so why not name my business after my two favorite things! 

* * Some signs come into contact with a CNC (to cut the circle or backer shape) All of the lettering is currently done with a scroll saw and hand painted.

Please note: handmade items may have slight differences depending on wood grain, paint chosen etc. There may also be slight inconsistencies.

We do not accept returns. All signs are made to order and customized to your liking. If there is anything wrong with your order or if it is damaged please do not hesitate to reach out.
